Pricing Questions, Answered.
What does the build fee cover?
The one-time build fee covers planning, design, development, quality assurance, and launch against the scope we agree on together.
What's the difference between the build fee and the monthly fee?
The one-time build fee covers development of your app based on your locked spec, this is the cost of us designing and building it. The monthly fee covers what comes after: hosting, uptime monitoring, security patching, and support for as long as you're a customer. Usage-based costs like SMS or AI credits are billed separately, at cost.
Will you sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA)?
Yes, a BAA is executed as part of every healthcare engagement, before any protected health information (PHI) touches our systems.
Why might my app take longer than 14 days?
14 days applies to our standard feature set once your spec is locked. Custom integrations outside that spec like live video calling or a specific EHR connection, are scoped and quoted with their own timeline as part of your quote.
How is patient data isolated and protected?
Role-based access control determines what each user type can see, while row-level security enforces isolation at the database layer, so one patient's or client's records can never be exposed to another, even if application logic has a bug. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
What happens after my app launches?
Launch is the start, not the finish. We handle hosting, monitoring, security patches, and support for as long as you're a customer, with real developers responding within 24 hours, or faster if your SLA specifies it.
Can I make changes myself after launch?
Not yet, but soon. Once self-service editing launches, you'll be able to make edits and enhancements yourself anytime. No added contract, just the AI credit you use. For larger changes, or in the meantime, our team is always available.
Do I own my app and its code?
You own your application's custom code and the spec it was built from. What you don't own is the underlying SDK and tooling we use to build it, that's our proprietary platform, shared across every project we deliver. If code export or portability is important for your business, ask us about those options during your consultation.
Is every project priced exactly like these examples?
No. These ranges are planning guidance. Your quote is based on the workflows, users, integrations, compliance needs, and support level in your locked scope.
Can UDG take over an app we already started?
Yes. We can assess an app built with a developer, Replit, Lovable, Bolt, or another platform, then quote the work needed to harden and operate it.
